Seed / Fertilizer / Lime

Broadcast Seeding - $25 per 1,000 sq ft

-We use a premium northwest grass seed mix with a 50:50 sun and shade blend of rye grass and fescue.

Fertilizer Treatments - Starter $15 per 1,000 sq ft

     - Organic $20 per 1,000 sq ft

-Starter fertilizer is formulated especially for newly planted grass seed. Organic fertilizer is safer to use near rivers and streams, or around pets and small children.

-Recommended 1-4 times per year, best applied in early spring, late spring, early fall and late fall (every 2 months or every 6-8 weeks).

Lime Application - $20 per 1,000 sq ft

Free pH Test Performed When Lime Is Requested - We use a soil pH test in multiple areas of your lawn to determine if lime is needed to help control/prevent moss.

-Soils in the Seattle area are generally very acidic. A pH test will determine the pH of your lawn and the amount of lime needed to neutralize the acidity to stunt moss growth. Regardless of the pH, moss may invade shady or excessively damp areas. Shady areas should be watered less often. Find other DIY lawn care tips here.

-Neutral soil allows better access for nutrient absorption by the root system. Optimum pH range is between 6.5 and 7.0.

-Recommended 1-2 times per year, in the spring and again in the fall.
